Gift Card Cozy

I found this tutorial on Make It and Love It. I saw these and thought what a fun way to make a gift card a little more personable. Especially when we had quite a few gift cards to give out this year. They were really fun and super easy to make. I didn't have any interfacing to use so I opted out of that part, but I think that it turned out just fine. I also on one I didn't have enough fabric in the length so I made it about a quarter inch shorter, and I think between the two I like the shorter one.

Apron and Chef Hat

For Christmas this year I made this apron and chef hat for my niece Cassie. I heard that she really likes to cook so I thought this would be a really fun thing that she would be able to utilize for a while. I found the tutorials here and here. I had so much fun making it, and a lot of fun watching her open it.

This was the first items that I have sewn on my new sewing machine, and the first items that I have sewn that was not just a straight line. I think that they turned out really well, and I am already thinking about making another one for Emily down the road.

I just loved this cupcake material, and it was so perfect because I was able to find a princess cupcake recipe book to go along with the whole cupcake theme.
