These year we had a nice relaxing holiday. We had Thanksgiving dinner over at my parent's house this year, and we got to be in charge of the green bean casserole and rolls. Thanksgiving day we lounged around the house, and did a little bit of cleaning. We were able to give Emily a nap before heading over to dinner. That was nice because for some reason she does not believe in sleeping in public, and would have been a holy terror. Dinner was super yummy with the traditional turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and my favorite yam apple casserole! We had a fun time with my folks and the Bristols.
We decided that there wasn't really anything that we needed to get up for on Black Friday. I think we eventually made our way down to the mall around 10, and crazy enough we didn't buy anything! Oh darn. (I will just have to find something else to buy.) Actually I have the opposite problem. Nathan has to prod me to buy any article of clothing.
We didn't really do a whole lot this 4 day weekend, but it was just nice to relax and have Nathan home with us. I got really spoiled having him home. I think he changed most of the diapers that weekend.
Overall it was a wonderful weekend with a lot to be thankful for.

M-I-C-K-E-Y!
Emily loves The Mickey Mouse Club House. She is all about Mickey Mouse. This weekend we got her a hat that has Minnie Mouse's ears on it. Emily loves it and runs around wearing it all the time. It is the only hat that she will wear and the only thing that she keep on her head.
She has also learned the words to part of the song. Nathan was putting her to bed the other night and she was saying all of these letters and he listened to it- It was the letters for Mickey. Mainly she just says C-K-Y. It is so cute.
She can also sing the ABC song starting with T-U-V. She has the beat down and everything. "T-U-V... Y and Z. Now I know my A-B-C. Next time won't sing wi' me!" Love it! Along with Ring around the Rosie. She sure does keep herself busy with this one. She starts singing and twirling. And even counting things she can count from 1-10. It is so fun to see her learning these different things. To know that she is actually learning things from you even when you think that they are not.
