A Girl Thing

I think some things must be built into girls. The other day Emily grabbed a packing tape and duct tape, and put each of them on her wrists and started to prance around the house with them. She was so happy. I don't wear bracelets so she figured this out all on her own. I think she is going to be a major girly girl- bracelets, and she picks out her own shoes. So cute!

Blueberries

One day after swimming Emily discovered one of my Dad's blueberry bushes. She started to pick the blueberries and eat them. She was even able to tell the difference between the blue and green ones and to know that she needed to only eat the blue ones. Emily would go and pick enough berries to have one in each hand and would head back towards the pool to only stop in her tracks and need to go back for more berries. She just loves them and calls them boo-boos.

Water Baby

Now that we have finally had some warm days this summer we have been taking Emily over to my parent's house to play in a kiddy pool. She just loves it and will splash splash in the water, but her absolute favorite thing to do is to collect rocks and throw them in the pool. She could just spend the entire time running back and forth from the pond to the pool getting a handful of rocks each time.

Big Girl Potty

The little goofball trying to be all grown up on the big girl potty. Reading her magazine and everything
So the other day I decided to bring out the potty training potty just for fun, and because I am getting pretty sick of changing poopy diapers. We tried it out last night and today, and surprisingly she went pee in the potty! I tried like 3 times to get her to poop. Every time she started to push I whipped her right into the bathroom, and right onto the potty. But to my disappointment she would stop pushing the instant she got onto the potty. Oh well, at least now when I ask her if she needs to go potty she runs into the bathroom and stands in front of the toilet. She will sit on it for a little while, but no success. We will just keep giving it a try. Since taking this picture she has pooped on the potty like 4 times! We have stopped taking her in to use it because she was freaking out and we don't want her to start not liking the potty. We will just have to give it another try sometime.
